Biography
William is a Veteran of WWII and Korea and now resides in Morristown N.J. William served in the Army Air Corps as a new recruit and was deployed to the European Theater in WWII. He was captured in the North Sea (Denmark) by the German Fleet after being shot down October 9, 1943. He was held prisoner for 20 months in Stalag 17B until liberated May 5th 1945. He received the Purple Heart and Air medal among other military honors. Bill used the GI Bill to further his education on release from the military. He enjoyed a productive working career as a independent manufacturer. As of Oct 1998, William was still active in Veterans Organizations including the EX-Prisoners of War, and his wife Anne is very supportive with his involvement.
