Biography
Wendell Fetters was born on October 7, 1924 in Lacona, He was a decorated WWII veteran serving in the Army Air Corps as a tail gunner on a B-26 bomber flying with the 574th Bomb Squad, 391st Bomb Group. Wendell's plane was lost on a bombing run over Germany on Dec. 23, 1944. He was captured and interned a POW for 131 days.

After his WWII service, Wendell graduated from Simpson College in 1949. He continued serving his country during the Korean War and remained active in various veterans groups until his death.

Wendell and Jean, his wife of 69 years, raised two daughters, Wendy and Kim, and a son, Andy, who blessed them with seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Wendell worked for the same company for his entire career and through many acquisitions ending with Solvay Animal Health.
