Bio:
Harley J. Coon was a Veteran of the Korean War and now resides with his
wife Sylvia in Beavercreek Ohio. Harley served in the U.S. Army as
a Sergeant First Class in B company 35th RCT-25th Div. He was
captured in Ipsop, Korea on November 27th, 1950 at age 19. Coon served
33 months and 4 days as a prisoner in 4 -5 Bean Death Valley.
Harley was awarded the Purple Heart, Korean Service medal with 10 battle
stars, U.N. Service Medal, Presidential Unit Citation and other Military
awards. After leaving the service Harley used the GI Bill for education
and became Self Employed operating HARCO Tool Inc.
